I'm Wearing a Brooch

Today, I'm wearing the only brooch I own.  It was given to me as a bridesmaids gift for my brother's wedding, and we maids (actually, we were all matrons, as it turns out) all wore ours on the sashes of our dresses.  It's really pretty, but I'm never quite sure how to wear a brooch without looking like a teacher...  My mom used to be a teacher, so that's why I associate things like wool midi skirts and brooches with teachers, by the way.  Not that only teachers wore them--just that the person I saw probably most often happened to be a teacher, I guess.  Whatever, anyway.  Point is, I didn't know how to wear them and still look like me.

Enter Inspiration Monday, hosted by Two Birds, to once again stretch my perception of style and make me try new things and kind of like them.
