Today, I'm wearing the only brooch I own. It was given to me as a bridesmaids gift for my brother's wedding, and we maids (actually, we were all matrons, as it turns out) all wore ours on the sashes of our dresses. It's really pretty, but I'm never quite sure how to wear a brooch without looking like a teacher... My mom used to be a teacher, so that's why I associate things like wool midi skirts and brooches with teachers, by the way. Not that only teachers wore them--just that the person I saw probably most often happened to be a teacher, I guess. Whatever, anyway. Point is, I didn't know how to wear them and still look like me.

I really love the pattern of your skirt-perfect for fall! When choosing clothes for this look I realized I don't own a single brooch and that will have to change as I think they are super cute (if not a little teacher like- my Mom's also a teacher).
