Happy Easter

Here are some shots from today at my parents' church and then their house:

My mom kept getting pictures with some of my outfit cut off, so I had her take this while I posed, heh. What can I say? I liked my outfit today, and I didn't have to care how matchy matchy it was 'cause it's Easter!

Dress: Anthropologie; Blazer: Gap; Shoes: Kohl's;
Necklace: E-Collectique Runway Boutique

Also, yesterday, we got to meet my friend's new little boy! He's really cute, and Bridget loved him. She's definitely ready for a sibling.

I'm so not ready to go back to work tomorrow. Can't we just go right on into the next weekend?

This Week's Outfits

Here's what I wore this week while recapping past outfits. Monday, you already saw.

Tuesday - I wanted to wear this skirt one more time before the weather warmed up.

Skirt: L.L.Bean (gift); Top: Fred Boutique; Cardigan: New York & Company;
Shoes: All Black via shoo; Bracelets: Pandora and Michael Kors

Wednesday - I couldn't decide how to style this shirt. It looked fine with nothing, but I felt like I had to add something to it. First, I tried a vest, but with the black pants, it reminded me too much of my uniform from the movie theater many years ago. This necklace ended up working.

Shirt: Kohl's; Pants: New York & Company;
Shoes: Aerosoles via Famous Footwear; Necklace: ?

Thursday - No tights day! It was an exciting day in the life of a style blogger - the first day of the year I didn't have to wear tights with a dress.

Dress: Lauren by Ralph Lauren (hand-me-down from Mom);
Cardigan: Rodarte for Target; Boots: Target

Friday - After having these cropped pants for over a year, I finally let the cuff down to make them a little longer. I should've done that the first day I bought them. Now they're two sizes too big (poor me, right?), and I need a belt to keep them up. This isn't the most flattering silhouette, but I actually liked how this blazer, which I never know how to style, looked with these purple pants.

Jacket: Sag Harbor via swap; Pants: New York & Company; Booties: Steve Madden

Hope you all have a nice Easter!

Jeans Plus Blazer, Six Ways

Today's link-up theme was "Casual Friday." This theme seemed pretty open for interpretation, so I went with different ways I've worn a blazer plus jeans to work.

I hope you enjoyed this 5 Days, 5 Ways series! I know I did!

One Dress, Six Ways

Each time I've worn this Anthropologie dress, I've consciously tried to style it a little differently, including as a Star Trek officer for Halloween.

One Necklace, Eight Ways

This necklace from Maurices is probably my favorite necklace I own. It just adds so much to whatever I'm wearing. Having said that, I was able to find eight outfits I've incorporated this necklace into on the blog.

One Pair of Pants and One Skirt, Multiple Ways

These were, I believe, the last pair of jeans I bought from Old Navy before I lost faith in their denim. Don't get me wrong, I still love pretty much everything else they sell, just not their saggy-bottom jeans.

(You can click the pictures if you want to go to their original post.)

When I was planning these posts, I was originally going to add a skirts day at the end since there wasn't one listed. Then, I learned that skirts are included in the pants/bottoms day. So now you get both! I've featured this Jason Wu for Target so many times on the blog since I bought it just over a year ago that it's definitely become my Most Valuable Skirt.

One Top, Five Ways

I started thinking about what piece I wanted to use for each day of Franziska and Whitney's 5 Ways, 5 Days link-up, and all the other days were easy. I knew right away what I wanted to use. For the tops, it was harder to decide since I had a few different ones in mind; but in the end, it came down to which one I could find five outfits for in the archives. This yellow tank top from Target was the winner.

(You can click the pictures if you want to go to their original post.)

I also wore this tank top just last week, but I didn't like the outfit enough to take pictures of it.
