I Wanna See Your Vest Outfit

Next week, I am guest hosting wear*it Wednesday, which is overall hosted by Rachel of Distinct.Style.Innovation. Recently, Rachel opened it up for others to hold the weekly event on their blogs, and Wednesday, November 16, it’s my turn!

My topic is how to wear vest jackets. Vests are great completer pieces and can basically be thrown over anything to add visual interest to an outfit. They’re not as constricting as jackets, but they still can add a little warmth for the fall. Or I guess now that it’s snowing in Wisconsin and other places, vests can add warmth under coats, too.

Anyone remember those Old Navy performance fleece vests that were all the rage in the late 90s? I wore my black one with a Tommy Hilfiger tee, jeans, and knock-off Converse shoes all the time. I was thinking back to that vest while looking for photos of different types of jacket-y vests to use for inspiration for next week’s topic.

Check out how these stylish ladies wore their vests. You can click on each picture to go to their outfit post.

I can’t wait to see how you style yours! E-mail me (mixedupbek@gmail.com) a picture sometime before Wednesday, and come back for wear*it Wednesday to see it here. You don’t have to be a blogger to participate.

  2. Rebekah!!!! I just bought my first ever pair of leggings. Ahhhh. Found them at Kohls in the Candy's clothing section. I got them extra big and they are soooo cozy--thought they would be uncomfortable like tights can be with me being so tall.

  3. Oh can you tell me what kind of shoe would work with a casual floral hippy chic dress?

  4. Mrs T, congratulations on your first pair of leggings! I agree, they're definitely more comfy than tights. It feels like you're wearing pajamas all day. I think a floral hippy dress would look good with any kind of boot or a ballet flat. But considering it's getting cold these days, probably the boots if you have them.
