Keep or Donate: Sweater #1 - Purple Open-Work Pullover

As I was putting away laundry this weekend and cramming all my sweaters onto their designated shelf in my closet, I started to wonder if I actually needed or wanted all of them. To help give me some objectivity and to add some interaction to the blog, I'm going to wear each sweater I own and have you guys help me decide what to do with them. If the majority says it goes, then it'll go unless I'm reaallly attached to it.

I've seen other bloggers challenge themselves to wear all their items of clothing in an attempt to pare down their closets (Gracey did the Nosh Opping Expedition and Hazel did the Wearing It All challenge), so that's where the idea kind of came from. In this case, I'm going to start with sweaters specifically.

I'll post a outfit including a sweater each day; and the next day (hopefully), I'll share the results, how I would've voted, and why, and then post the next photo with associated poll. It could be fun, or I could regret this and end up with no more sweaters...in which case, maybe I'll quit halfway through. We'll see how it goes.

Note: I of course want to keep all the sweaters I received as Christmas presents this year, but maybe I'll still post those without a poll.

Here's sweater number one:

Thanks for your participation!

  1. I picked the 'style differently option', but only because I think the sweater would look cute with jeans for a more casual look....not saying you should change the outfit you put together! I may have misunderstood the poll...Either way: Keep.

    1. I actually had the same thought as you. I do think it would look better with a more casual outfit.

  2. I think the sleeves are too short.

  4. I voted style differently - I don't think the khaki does as much to make the sweater stand out since it's a bit close to some of the lighter shades. I'd try it with a classic dark jean!

  5. I'm not really a fan of it. I don't hate it, it just seems very... ordinary? It seems kind of bland compared to most of the stuff I see you wear.

    1. I just noticed that the shirt under it is plaid; I do like the combo together, it adds some interest to the shirt.
