Week Fifteen and Sixteen Weigh-in

Current Weight: 193.8 (up 1 lb)

Yeah... So what happened was, I was doing really well, and then hubs and I went out to eat Saturday. He insisted that points didn't matter that night and encouraged me to drink three adult beverages. Actually, he wanted me to drink four, but I stopped at three and switched to water because I knew going from liquor to wine was probably not the best plan. Then, I ate dinner and appetizers, which included the best onion rings on the planet. And then yesterday, I made s'mores bars, our Six Flags opening weekend tradition, and ate a couple of those along with some other junk food.

I wasn't even going to do a weigh-in post this week since I did so poorly this weekend, but I needed to have some accountability.

Hubs' mom is visiting this week, so we'll see if that helps or hinders my progress.

Goal/Incentive: Trying for Baby #2 when I hit 175. By the way, hubs lifted this restriction because he kind of just wants to get having kids over and done with (he's not a big fan of the newborn stage), but I don't want to start trying until the fall anyway. So I continue.

  2. Haha, I was thinking the same Mrs. T; that could totally be taken wrong!

Rebekah, ah, the "diet doesn't matter today" days, for me they were my downfall; I kept finding reasons to justify my diet not mattering that day (not feeling well, bad day at work, not-so-special special occasions, rewarding myself for something, etc.).

    1. Totally, I rationalize everything. And then when I do rationalize, I don't just eat like one brownie or whatever and be done with it. I eat three brownies, two glasses of wine, cheese, garlic bread, etc. etc. Portion control is my other downfall, which is why Weight Watchers works for me when I actually stick to it.

    2. Ditto. Honestly, I've pretty much completely fallen off the bandwagon.

    1. I get your drift, but I can't! I have an Orlando vacation Labor Day weekend. If I'm pregnant, I can't go on any of the rides. Not only that, but I think I'd like to have my next child late spring/early summer so that I'm not stuck inside during maternity leave again. Although I must say, I really enjoyed avoiding all the bad driving weather the first time around!

    2. By the way, I know that I can't actually plan what time of year I'm going to have a child. It may take awhile to get pregnant. Who knows.
