Puffy Shirts in Fashion

When I first saw the inspiration artwork for this week's Style Imitating Art, what immediately came to mind was the shirt that I tried to sell at a consignment store last weekend. Lucky for me I guess, they didn't take it, because now I can try to style it one more time to interpret the garb of these colonial, pirate-type fellows.

Another thing that came to mind the other day when I was scrolling through my blog reader was the Saint Laurent (formerly YSL) Spring 2013 runway I saw photographed on The Sartorialist. You can also see the whole collection on Style.com. By the way, the other half of that collection is interesting, too. It's very fairy tale-esque with the capes and long dresses.
