He's my favorite Project Runway designer, so I'm pretty excited except that I can't decide what to wear. I don't know what the dress code/attire is going to be, but I'm assuming somewhat casual. I can't buy anything new because I'm still in the midst of my shopping ban, so I have to work with what I've got.
This is the dress I think maybe I want to wear because it's the closest thing I have to "draped," which is what Rami's famous for. But what should I wear it with? Would a blazer be too dressy? Maybe I could use shoes and accessories to dress it down? Here are some options...
Black blazer. I probably would go with the long-sleeved blazer instead of this short-sleeved one, but the other one was in the wash.
Pink blazer. While I like the idea of orange and pink together, I think these colors are a little too close.
Fur vest. Too much? Defeating the point of the dress?
Brown cardigan, like I've done in the past?
Pink top. Go with a draped cowl neck top instead? And if so, what would I wear that with?
What do you guys think I should wear? I would love to hear your thoughts! Also, if any of you Chicago area readers are fans of the show, the brand, or bridal wear in general, you should come! It'd be fun to meet up and say hi! You can RSVP through tomorrow.
Great pick! I thought the same thing you did-DRAPING! And the color is so on trend, too!
ReplyDeleteDo you have to wear something over the dress? It's going to be warm Tuesday. But if you had to wear something, I really like the brown cardigan belted with that corset like belt. I also really like your vest belted. So chic!
Last time I checked days ago, it said like 60s for Thursday, but now I see it's going to be near 80. Maybe I won't need to wear anything over it!
DeleteIf you end up wearing something over it, I'd vote for the pink blazer. Orange and pink together are super hot right now! Have so much fun at the event! It sounds awesome.
ReplyDeleteRebecca (hearts)...
Hmmm, I do have a wide pink belt. Maybe I'll try that if i don't decide to wear anything over the dress.
DeleteI agree with Rebecca. The pink and orange look was really flattering.
ReplyDeleteOoh I like the fur vest - step it up if it's for a fashion designer! hehe
