Irish for a Day

Even though I named my daughter Bridget, I am not, in fact, Irish; but of course, I like to celebrate anyway. So I figured if there was any day I could wear three different, clashing shades of green, it would be Saturday. I do love theme dressing.

My interpretation:

Dress, T-shirt, and Sunglasses: Target; Jacket: Walgreens; Necklace: Kohl's; Shoes: Payless

Speaking of my Irish-named daughter, I almost forgot to put her in the St. Patrick's Day T-shirt I bought her. Oh noes!

We had a very laid-back St. Patrick's Day this year. We took Bridget and Dela to the park in the morning, and then my parents came over in the afternoon to celebrate hubs' birthday. My dad was in the spirit, though. He enjoyed some Smithwick's, Guinness, and Bailey's throughout the night. And actually, I was the only one who didn't eat any Irish food for dinner. Well, and Bridget.

Since my dad left the rest of the Bailey's, I decided it'd be a good idea to try a little in my coffee the next day. Not bad! My favorite use for Bailey's is to mix it with butterscotch schnapps, so that may have to go on the grocery list...but I've gotten off topic.

It's Monday, and I have a busy and fun week(end) ahead!

This week's wear*it Wednesday theme is super easy - green! Let's see those St. Paddy's Day getups. You can either submit using the form, or you can email mixedupbek@gmail.com.

  3. This is a great take on Olivia's outfit! I love how you layered the tee underneath, since the dress really pops against it. Looks like you guys had a wonderful St. Patrick's day - your little ones are too cute for words.
