Day 1 of 30: Learning the Ropes

Here's what the caption of these images should be.  This was sent to me from my friend and co-vlogger, and it's sad but true.  Haha.

I haven't really figured out how to best approach these 30 for 30 posts yet, whether I should say where my clothes are from again, or number them and refer back to the original 30 for 30 post, or what.  Plus, do I just throw up the pictures and talk about other aspects of life in a different post, or cover it all in one long post?  I think I need to make these pictures a little smaller.  They look kind of large and in charge to me.

Anyway, it was easy getting dressed this morning because not only is it Day 1, but also tomorrow is EBEW Lace day, so I wanted to incorporate some lace as well.  This lace top came with an attached cami underneath, and I never like when shirts do that.  I'll put the pieces together myself, thank you!  After wearing it a few times with the attached cami and feeling uncomfortable each time, I finally just chopped it off, and I like it a lot better now.  Hooray.

Yeah, it's Monday.  I have some fun-ish ideas for posts this week besides 30 for 30 outfits, so I'm just gonna "leave it at that" today.

  1. Such a cute dress and I like the combo with the lace top!

I ran into that dillemma too the first time I did the 30x30 challenge. But at the end of the day just do whatever feels right to you! There is not right or wrong way to go about it! :)

    Good luck with it!

  2. I like the dress with the lace top underneath it.

What kind of camera do you have Rebekah? Your pictures always look so good. Totally jealous of that.

  3. I love the idea of wearing lace underneath the dress instead of over it--I'm sure it would have been crazy busy over the dress but it looks just right under! I think this outfit is a great start to your 30.

Usually when I do 30 for 30 posts I just say what everything is again because I wouldn't feel like clicking a link to another post, since I am exceptionally lazy and clicking is too much effort for me. My fingers are slackers, what can I say?

  4. Amanda - I have a Canon PowerShot SX130. Nate's parents got it for us for Christmas so we could take HD video of Bridget. I don't really know anything about photography, but I try to take picture without a flash in natural light when I can, and I also do a little very simple editing in Photoshop afterward with the Curves tool.

Jess - That's a good idea. It doesn't take up much space to say what I'm wearing again, so I might as well.

Rebecca - I know, right? Haha, I was amused. It's a good, playful message for us silly outfit-of-the-day bloggers. Not that everyone does it 'cause they want to be a model. Maybe that's just me.
