Day 6 of 30: Grass Stained

I started off the day wearing one thing, but through a series of events, I ended up wearing something different.  Still, I'm only going to count this as one day since there aren't any rules anyway.

Shirt: husband's; Capris: Old Navy; Shoes: Kohl's; Sunglasses: Payless; Watch: Target; Scarf: from a tote bag at a shopping event

Since we're going over to my parents' house tomorrow, I told hubs that today could be his day to do whatever he'd like with it.  He chose to build speakers while I mowed the lawn and cleaned inside.  Hubs is a sound geek and is really particular about what kinds of speakers he has, so being the genius engineer he is, he just builds his own.  The two smaller speakers we have on either side of the TV are not only eye sores, but also they're very very not childproof.  So in the last couple weeks, hubs has been fixing up these speakers so that I don't banish them to the basement when Bridget starts crawling. (I talk big, but I'm a cool wife and a pushover, so the speakers probably would've stayed put either way, but don't tell him that.)  I'll have to post before and after pictures 'cause they're going to look really nice when they're done.

Dog that is in serious need of a walk...

Aaaaanyway, whilst mowing the lawn, I proceeded to take a digger, slipping on the hill twice and giving me a lovely grass stain on my knee.  I wonder if any of the neighbors were watching.  I also got a blister on my right heel, so I had to switch to flip flops instead of flats.  To add insult to injury, when I put the mower back in the shed, I saw a dead chipmunk face looking up at me.  Eek!  No idea how we're going to deal with that.

Notice how much nicer the lawn looks in this picture as opposed to the jungle it is in the previous ones?

Jeans: Target; Sandals: Uhhh, I can't remember. Either Kohl's or Target (shocker)

The plan for the rest of the night is to go out to eat, but I'm not sure if that's actually going to happen.  Hubby's still contently playing with his tools in the garage, and Bridget's napping right now (and doing much better than yesterday).  Although, I don't think we have any dinner type food in the house, so at the very least, I'll be making a grocery store run.

Definitely back to reality here!  Such a switch from my flashback to my teenage years last night.  I'm pretty content either way--I'm just glad I get to do both every so often.

  1. Hope your husband has a great Father's Day! Loving your weekend look here :) I need to borrow from the fiance's closet more...other than the occasional Hanes tee I have not explored my options! He is 6'4", which makes it a bit challenging, but one never knows!

P.S. Your dog is so beautiful!

  2. Maybe if you tucked one of his shirts in partway or knotted it, it would work. I think this is the first time I've grabbed from his side of the closet, so yeah, one definitely never knows. It at least gives us even more options that we probably don't need, heh.

Yes, Dela is quite the majestic being, hehe.
