One Last Shopping Hurrah

With the much needed month long shopping ban associated with the 30 for 30 challenge quickly approaching (starts Monday!), I wanted to be sure to buy shorts and a swimsuit for my upcoming Maine vacay. What started as a quick trip to the mall turned into a rewards-card-earning, coupon-clipping, sales-opportunizing spending extravaganza. I somehow justfied picking up a few more things, but I got a super good deal on all of it!

Here's me wearing basically everything I bought on Friday.

Blazer: Gap; Tank: H&M (did not buy yesterday); Shorts, Scarf, Wedges, & Wallet: New York & Company

I've been looking for a cute blazer and wedges for awhile, so I was most excited about these two finds.  The wedges do make me a little nervous because I'm gonna be a freakin' giant, but I gotta get over that sometime, eh?  As for the shorts, I couldn't decide between black or white ones.  White ones were the only ones I could find in my size, so I took it as a sign although it's not exactly the most practical color.  I love the length, though--not too short.

Both from New York & Company

Today, I also ventured out to Kohl's at the suggestion of two friends to look for a swimsuit.  The girls were right!  I'm actually excited to wear this suit.  It's just a little short in the torso, but not too bad.

And finally, as I mentioned in my Finding the Right Swimsuit post, I was set on wearing a swim skirt on top.  This is the only item I paid full price for, but most swim skirts seem to have bottoms built in, which I didn't need; and it's cute, so I went for it.  Whenever I buy stuff online from Old Navy, it seems to fit weird, so hopefully I'll end up liking this skirt in person.

The rest of the fam benefitted from my spending spree as well.  I got hubs a polo shirt and three sleepers for Bridget.

OK, time to go finish laundry so I can pull together my 30 for 30 list.

  1. Love the lavender blazer - it's a great find. And I love the white shorts too - I'd love to find a good pair of white shorts but I mostly suck with anything white, especially bottoms.

  3. Gracey - I tried on a few cute ones at Gap, but they were a little too small for me. Otherwise, you could check NY & Company, too, if you have one in the area. These are a tad see-through, which is always a bummer, but I guess I'll just plan my undergarments accordingly.

Bekah - Thanks, girly! I really do love the wedges. And thanks for the luck--I'm gonna need it.
